INTRO
The
project starts outlining the scope of the CD and introducing
the various sections. From Reroofing to the Technical
Guide there is 5 sections total. The CD version to give
away to customers has a stopping action that will finish
the presentation in the Contact Us section. The version
created for Trade Shows has a looping action that will
restart the presentation as it plays in a big screen
monitor in the trade show booth.

REROOFING
In
order to better illustrate the process of reroofing
we went on location with a high end digital camera and
a laptop and recorded in time lapse photography mode
the whole process of re-roofing. One picture at the
time every seven seconds.
After
collecting the raw footage we converted it to video
format and compresses two full work days into just 2
minutes and 10 seconds. The results where an old roof
been torn apart and rebuilt with brand new shining tiles
from beginning to end in while a voice over explains
each step of the way the process of re-roofing.

POWER
VENTS
The
next concern was to illustrate the benefits of installing
a power vent in the attic. The best solution was to
create a 3D model of the same house that we had used
for the reroofing footage and create a flyby animation
inside the attic showing the air flow patterns with
a power vent unit installed. A voice over explains the
benefits of having the unit installed versus not having
it.
At
the end of the animation transition to still 2D animation
and a testimonial been read.

SKYLIGHTS
The
second item of interest for the prospective buyer was
to have a skylight installed.
For
the skylight section we chose an animated transition
of pictures to illustrate the benefits being highlighted
by the voice over.
We
highlighted the different roof types and then showed
pictures of installed skylights that matched the roof
type.

PHOTO
ALBUM
In
order to show some finished projects and cover the many
different types of tiles and colors we resorted to include
a Photo Album section.
This
section runs from one picture to the next automatically
but has interactive buttons to jump from one picture
to another manually in case the user wants to take a
better look at something. After 5 seconds the timer
resets and moves to the next picture on it's own . At
the end of the labs picture the presentation jumps automatically
to the next section. 20 different job sites shown.

This
technical guide runs the user through the basic lingo
of roofing and depicts a couple of important points.

A NUTSHELL
Overall
21st Century Roofing has benefited from this presentation
by having a solid, consistent marketing piece that represents
their company and illustrates the same points in the
same well structured fashion whether a salesman is giving
the presentation or a neighbor is showing the cool CD
that he got from their Roofing company to a friend.
A
picture is worth a thousand words... we don't know
the word count for video and 3D animation with voice
over. You do the math.
Consistent
